Leaked images of Galaxy S20 surface with quad camera setup

CES 2020 is now done and dusted, which means it’s time to turn our attention to the next big event, which is Samsung’s first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year. Unlike its usual modus operandi, the South Korean firm is holding its standalone event a couple of weeks before MWC 20 in Barcelona.

While the latest Galaxy Fold device is expected to be there, Samsung is also said to be readying the Galaxy S20 for a reveal too. To that end leaked images of the device has surfaced online via XDA Developers, with the site showcasing the front and back of the phone.

Up front there isn’t anything truly new, with Samsung moving the punch hole camera from the S10 to the centre on the S20. On the rear things getting a little more interesting, with a new camera array present.

There are said to be four lenses at work here with a standard wide-angle, ultra wide-angle, portrait and macro option all present. There is space for the flash, but at this stage no word on what the sixth lens slot will be used for. The housing also looks a lot like the one featured on the iPhone 11 Pro, albeit a bit longer than its competitor’s offering.

Also interesting in the leaked images is a sticker on the rear of the device which says confidential, along with the words “do not leak info”, which the person who shared these pictures clearly chose to ignore.

Leaked information for devices a few weeks before launch is nothing new, so we expect a bunch more details to surface about the Galaxy S20 between now and the Unpacked event on 11th February.

When it comes to leaks though, we’d be far more interested in seeing what the new foldable device from Samsung looks like, with a clamshell flip design being touted.
