Samsung to launch Galaxy Note 10 Lite in South Africa in early February

Samsung Mobile South Africa held a media event earlier today where the company revealed three new devices it is bringing into the country in coming weeks. All three devices are aimed at the mid-range market, with the Galaxy A51, Galaxy A71 and Galaxy Note 10 Lite, on their way.

While all three are intriguing options, it is the Note 10 Lite which has grabbed our attention, especially as the device is recommended to retail for R12 999 (prices may vary depending on retailer).

The device is slated to launch locally in early-February, however a precise launch date has not been mentioned. We’ve heard murmurings that it will be available on 11th February, which would make sense as Samsung is hosting its first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year.

With the latest Galaxy S flagship expected, as well as a new foldable device, bringing the Note 10 Lite to the country makes a lot of sense.

As for what this device is packing, much of the internal specifications is akin to that of the Note 9. To that end an octa-core Exynos processor is doing the heavy lifting and 6GB of RAM to call upon.

Up front a 6.7″ Full HD+ screen is present, with a central punch hole to house the front-facing 32MP camera. On the rear a triple lens setup can be found – 12MP ultrawide, 12MP wide-angle and 12MP telephoto.

Other notable elements include a 4 500mAh battery and the S Pen stylus which the Note series has become synonymous with. This version is not as powerful or feature-rich as the version found on the original Note 10, with slightly less battery life.

Still at R13k the Galaxy Note 10 Lite is touting several elements that are flagship-level.
