We’re really chugging into 2020 aren’t we? February is nearing the half way point and it’s time for yet another africast.
Starting with our shorter news segments today and we talk about the Novel coronavirus leading exhibitors to pull out of Mobile World Congress 2020, Nintendo bagging one leaker of Sword and Shield, and finally the trio of new flagship devices unveiled by Samsung.
Sticking with Samsung for our first feature segment, we talk about the Galaxy Z Flip which looks to improve on the Fold which was / is infamous for a litany of problems inherent in the first generation of folding screen devices. We actually got our hands on a Galaxy Z Flip at the launch so we can give our first impressions, with a more comprehensive written piece coming soon.
Next up is the Gautrain, Gauteng’s mass transit system which just kind of exists in the background for most people. For the past couple of weeks we’ve actually been using the Gautrain to commute into Rosebank. This will form a larger feature tallying up the costs of doing so which will also be coming to the site soon.
Finally we end on Unisa which has been nothing short of a train wreck. The university has experienced severe delays in releasing exam results which has forced it to extend registration dates three times in the first semester of 2020. With the institution stating that this third extension will be the last, maybe students can finally start their studies this semester instead of worrying about how and when Unisa will mix up the registration process.
