We’ve all been there, you want to watch something on Netflix but the array of choice in front of you makes it nearly impossible to pick.

That choice should become slightly easier as Netflix has launched a new, long awaited feature – a top ten list.

The list will be displayed in its own row in the Netflix user interface and will showcase the top 10 movies (when in the movies tab) and top 10 series (when in the TV shows tab).

Perhaps the most interesting part of this is that these lists are based on what is popular in your country, rather than what is popular around the world.

Netflix said in a blog post that it has been experimenting with top 10 lists for the last six months in the UK and Mexico.

“Members in both countries have found them useful, so we are now rolling them out to even more,” said Netflix.

While browsing through Netflix we noted that Top 10 titles also appear in other categories which is a nice touch and a great way to let folks know what is popular.

The feature also appears to take the best picks for the day so it may be worth checking back regularly for updates.
