After a few teaser images Nvidia has officially unveiled the RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition, a limited batch of GPUs branded with a new yellow shroud and iconography based on CD Projekt’s upcoming game.

If you’re already reaching for the wallet and / or considering selling some vital organs to buy one of these, you may be disappointed to find out that they’re not actually for sale.

Unfortunately these graphics cards are not for sale and can only be won by way of a contest. According to Nvidia just 200 of those cards exist and 77 have been set aside to be given away in what is being called the #RTXOn Sweepstakes.

The full details of the contest can be found here but it all boils down to interacting with the various social media arms of the company.

On Twitter you will need to go to this tweet. From there retweet, tag someone in a comment using the #RTXOn hashtag and that’s it.

For Instagram the required post is here. Like the post, tag someone and again make a comment using #RTXOn.

Finally, for Facebook, go here and do the same things. Tag, hashtag, etc.

What’s interesting about all of these is that the person you tagged will also win one of the graphics card should your comment win the contest. That’s a pretty good deal especially considering the envy you’d face if you won and the friend you tagged didn’t.

The contest runs from now until 28th February.

For those interested in dollar values, this GPU is apparently priced at $1 100 (~R16 547). That number really doesn’t mean much as this product can’t be outright bought from a store, so we definitely suspect seeing these rare RTX 2080 Ti variants hitting the second hand market at many times that price if the winners are looking to make money instead of keeping their prizes.
