DCC makes Lenovo ThinkBook 14 and 15 available to the SADC region

Last month Lenovo unveiled its new range of ThinkBook notebooks, explaining that these devices are specifically designed with SME customers in mind.

Now local distributor Drive Control Corporation is making the Lenovo ThinkBook 14 and 15 available to not only its channel partners in South Africa, but also those across the SADC region.

This includes Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe. Malawi, Lesotho, Eswatini, as well as the DRC, DCC explains.

Both the Lenovo ThinkBook 14 and 15 will be available from April onwards, and DCC will have a few different flavours on offer depending on what the specification may be from the end user.

Some of the key features on the ThinkBook range is their lightweight design and high degree of portability. To that end the ThinkBook 14 is 17.9mm thin and weighs 1.5kg, with the larger ThinkBook 15 measuring 18.9mm thin and tipping the scale at 1.8kg.

“Lenovo has certainly set a new benchmark for laptops that price sensitive but still packed with performance and security features – it is the great offering for our SADC partners and their SMB customers,” says Steven Opperman, Lenovo product specialist at DCC.

In terms of specification, DCC will be bringing 10th Gen Intel Core processors to market, as well as PCIe SSD storage and DDR4 RAM, along with support for Gigabit speeds and options for WiFi 6. There’s also ThinkShield from Lenovo to handle security, along with a smart power button with built-in fingerprint reader.

DCC also notes that both the Lenovo ThinkBook 14 and 15 will ship with one year of carry-in warranties. To find about either model, contact DCC here.
