DStv Premium available to all subscribers for one weekend only on DStv Now

MultiChoice’s streaming service – DStv Now – is opening up the content streams this weekend.

The broadcaster has announced that from 13th – 15th March, all DStv customers will be able to stream all DStv channels via DStv Now.

That means that EasyView, Access, Family, Compact and Compact Plus customers will be able to watch just about every channel included in DStv Premium.

Indian, French and Portuguese language packs are not included in this offer.

Usually, EasyView, Access, Family, Compact and Compact Plus customers are limited to streaming the content available on their subscription so this offer is a nice way to see stuff might not otherwise.

Ahead of the weekend you may want to download the DStv Now app for Android and iOS and set up your account so that when Friday dawns you can start binging.

This weekend is actually a rather big one for sports if that’s what you’re into. For rugby fans there is Super Rugby on all weekend, cricket players can enjoy ODIs between Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

The Formula 1 2020 season also starts this weekend in Melbourne for the Australian Grand Prix. While you could stream this on DStv Now, F1 TV Pro is now available in South Africa and is more affordable for folks who simply want to see Mercedes dominate for another year.

We’re curious to know why DStv is offering its customers premium content for free. Could this be DStv testing the release of its own bespoke streaming service? We have no idea but we certainly have hope.
