While schools are set to reopen on 8th June – barring any sort of changes at the 11th hour, again – many parents are concerned about sending their children into the great big, wide, COVID-19 infested world.

We have seen some schools proposing a dual delivery approach where those who can be taught from home do so while those who don’t have such means attend school.

In a bid to assist those learning from home, The Answer Series has created a series of free videos for Grade 12 learners.

The videos cover five CAPS subjects namely Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, Life Sciences and Economics.

“We have focused on term two content for matric students as so much is at stake for them – not just their final year of school; but also consequent opportunities for further studies or jobs next year,” explained The Answer Series’ chief executive officer George Eadie.

The videos are available on The Answer Series website and are completely free. You will need to register an account which is rather simple and at no point are you asked for credit card information.

While the lessons can be used in conjunction with The Answer Series’ study guides, as the videos cover the curriculum we don’t expect these guides to be vital to the lessons.

Some of the lessons are available on YouTube at this URL if you’d like to check them out before signing up for an account.

“We believe that these videos can help learners get back on track to pursue their studies and achieve their goals; they can be used to jump-start a new session, as a daily 10-minute focused consolidation of a completed section or as a pre-study flashback/ overview,” says Eadie.

The Answer Series videos are free to all Grade 12 learners until 31st December 2020.
