Like Far Cry 6, Cuphead on PlayStation may have been leaked by the store

Cuphead, the game that’s currently available on PC, Xbox One and Tesla cars may be making its way to the PlayStation 4 in short order, if a slip up on the PlayStation 4 is to be believed.

The game has appeared on the PlayStation Network under the New Games section, nestled in with actual releases such as Destroy All Humans! and Fairy Tail.

This has been picked up by @Wario64 on Twitter (embedded below) who also points out that the game icon has since been removed.

The user also connects this apparent leak to an announcement by Geoff Keighley for a “special update from one of our favorite indie game studios” later today.

It wouldn’t be surprising if that favourite indie game studio is Cuphead dev Studio MDHR, and the game becomes available immediately after the announcement.

Just recently early listings on the PlayStation Store also leaked Far Cry 6 shortly before it was officially announced by Ubisoft in their Forward livestream conference.

We’re not sure what’s going on with the PlayStation Store recently but it seems to be a sieve when it comes to retaining privileged information. That being said the official announcement for Far Cry 6 came so close to the leak that many considered it intentional to keep the game in the news, but maybe that’s the tinfoil talking.

For Cuphead the wait will be short, should Keighley reveal that his announcement is indeed Studio MDHR. Other guesses for that announcement include Hollow Knight: Silksong and Shovel Knight Dig.

If you’re new to Cuphead see our review from the original release, or for existing fans there’s 3D prints aplenty including Mugman, an animation flip book and an actual cup head.
