Latest Dell XPS 13 notebook hits the local channel via DCC

You’ve likely heard numerous times about working from home (WFH) being the new normal, both locally and internationally.

The undeniable fact is that with the COVID-19 pandemic showing no signs of slowing, and lockdown now part and parcel of life in South Africa, businesses need to make sure its employees have the right hardware at home.

This may necessitate you investing in a new notebook, which makes it rather fortuitous that local distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC) has confirmed the availability of the new Dell XPS 13 for its channel customers.

This latest notebook comes from Dell’s thin and lightweight XPS range, with the 2020 model now featuring a range of redesigned elements, as well as some new internal components and specifications.

“The new XPS 13 features a fantastic redesign which is already enjoying rave reviews. It’s is a persuasive offering that will enable our channel partners to provide the one of the world’s best 13-inch notebooks to their customers,” enthuses Heinrich Pretorius, Dell consumer specialist at DCC.

As with previous iterations, Dell has retained the InfinityEdge design on this XPS 13, but narrowed the bezels down to yield a 91.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. Added to this the ability to order either touch or non-touch displays, with Full HD and 4K quality screens available too.

Other key elements include Intel’s 10th Gen 10nm processors, as well as sensors to aid faster boot up times, along with quicker access via Windows Hello or the fingerprint reader.

Perhaps the most impressive feature on the new Dell XPS 13 is the battery life, with the company touting up to 18 hours and 49 minutes of charge from a full battery. While most users will be deskbound at the moment, should any untimely loadshedding occur, you should be covered on the battery life front.

If the Dell XPS 13 piques your interest, or you want to find out about any of Dell’s other offerings for the channel, head to DCC’s website here.
