Samsung will unveil the next Galaxy Note on 5th August

Though it doesn’t feel like it, we are halfway through 2020 and while much has changed in the last six months, there are still things that haven’t changed.

Case in point – Samsung is set to unveil a new smartphone next month.

Given the time of year, that smartphone is the next Galaxy Note, widely believed to be the Note 20.

The device will be unveiled at an Unpacked event on 5th August according to the invitation below.

Aside from the tip of what we assume is a stylus there isn’t much to go on from that clip.

However, that copper colour we see closely resembles the paint job of the leaked images of the Note 20 Ultra we saw earlier this month.

But aside from a colour and leaked images of a camera there really is very little go on in terms of specs which is strange.

With just under a month before the reveal we haven’t seen many leaks about the Galaxy Note 20. There are of course rumours but those we’ve seen speculate about features such as the display size and whether the handset will have 5G capabilities.

Other rumours include talk of a Galaxy Fold 2 which would be interesting to see but until 5th August, those are just rumours.

The next question we have is how Samsung will unpack its next release cycle. In many areas of the world lockdown remains in force and gatherings are prohibited.

We suspect that Samsung will simply host an event online as we’ve seen other firms do over the last three months.

Of course when we hear more about the Galaxy Note 20 whether it be through leaks or from Samsung itself, we will be sure to share that information.
