Yesterday we learned that Marvel’s Avengers would be getting Spider-Man added as a post-launch playable character in 2021, but he will be exclusive to PlayStation. Now the exclusivity train continues today as even more special content is announced for Sony machines.

Firstly there’s Community Challenges. Available on all platforms, Community Challenges will task the entire playerbase with completing certain objectives to win loot for everyone. PlayStation players, however, will get their own version of these missions which will not be available elsewhere.

While Spider-Man and these challanges have since been announced without a limited time nature (sparking fears that other players will never get access to them) there will also be PlayStation exclusives which will expire.

“PlayStation players will have 30-day exclusive access to a Legendary Outfit, Legendary Emote, Epic Takedown, and nameplate for each Super Hero as they are released – this is also for the six launch heroes,” reads an announcement on the PlayStation Blog.

“In addition, we also have rewards for those with a PlayStation Plus subscription. For each Super Hero added to the game post-launch, Hawkeye included, all PS Plus members will receive a free bundle that contains a Rare Outfit, nameplate, and 100 Credits to celebrate the addition of another Avenger to the roster. At launch, we’ll have a free bundle for Ms. Marvel available for PS Plus members to embiggen our love for Kamala,” the blog post continues.

That PlayStation Blog post also reveals outfits for Iron Man, Hulk and Ms Marvel – Kamala Khan. You can see GIFs of each embedded below. The Hulk outfit, inspired by the famous Planet Hulk arc, is our favourite of the bunch and one of the best cosmetics from the game we’ve seen so far.

Finally this announcement ends off reminding everyone that the upcoming beta for the game launches first on PlayStation 4. The full dates for this are available here, but on 7th August those who have pre-ordered the game on PS4 get access with more open and closed betas to follow.

Marvel’s Avengers launches on PC, Xbox One, Stadia and the favourite child PlayStation 4 come 4th September.
