Alongside its new smartphones and wearables, Samsung has shown off two new Galaxy Tab, tablets.

The Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ were shown off today during Unpacked 2020.

The Tab S7 sports an 11inch display with a 2 560 x 1 600 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate while the Tab S7+ sports a 12.4inch display with a 2 800 x 1 752 resolution and the same 120Hz refresh rate.

While both slates support the new S Pen, it will have to be purchased separately.

Other notable features include four speakers tuned by AKG and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Looking at technical specs, the processor onboard both tablets is a 7nm 64-bit octa-core processor with a max clock speed of 3.09GHz. This is paired with either 6GB or 8GB of memory depending on the model.

For storage you have a choice of either 128GB or 256GB with the option to add up to 1TB more with a microSD card.

Powering things along is a 8 000mAh battery in the Tab S7 and a huge 10 090mAh battery in the Tab S7+.

Samsung has said that the new Galaxy Tabs will hit select markets on 21st August, but Samsung South Africa is yet to confirm if we are one of those markets.

As soon as we have word regarding pricing and availability we’ll be sure to share that information.
