Beat Saber, the outrageously popular rhythm VR game, today gets a shot of nu metal thanks to a music pack featuring 11 of the most popular songs from Linkin Park.

The pack isn’t just these 11 songs as they can be played at all difficulties, so there are 55 beatmaps included here.
Along with that there’s a new environment (see above) to play in which looks a lot like a tunnel which has had some Linkin Park graffiti painted on it. Aside from the old band logo there’s also the famous butterfly wing solider which was on the cover for the band’s first album Hybrid Theory.
“With this music pack, we are releasing a brand new game environment – a fully enclosed game area inspired by the tunnel scene you might remember from the ‘One Step Closer’ music video. The environment is also accompanied by a new four-color lighting scheme. To pay our tribute to the iconic Hybrid Theory album, the whole environment is stylized into the album’s colors,” says Michaela Dvorak, head of marketing at developer Beat Games.
While not mentioned in any announcements this release coincides with the 20th anniversary of Hybrid Theory which also brought with it a “Super Deluxe Box Set” that includes all of the band’s music on CD, vinyl, and digital, along with unreleased content and a book.
The Linkin Park music pack for beat Saber should be available now on Steam, the Oculus Store and the PlayStation Store for PSVR. We say “should be” because it doesn’t seem to be up on the PlayStation Store right now. Best to refresh it after an hour or two. The 11 songs can be bought as a bundle or individually.
