It’s a cliché but Indie World Showcase had something for everyone

As the world continues to pine for a new edition of Nintendo Direct, another Indie World Showcase has popped up showing off a variety of games either already available on the Switch or coming out in the future.

What struck us about this latest edition of the show is the fact that there was such a wide array of games on offer. From action roguelikes set in Greek mythology, to hotel management sims with anthropomorphic animals and even a game based on Inidian mythology, it was truly diverse to say the least.

Despite this variety our favourites of the event were games which have been around for a while.

Hades has been in Early Access since 6th December 2018 and now we know it will be coming to the Switch this year. US Fall is between mid-September and mid-December, which is when the port will be out. This console release will also coincide with the 1.0 launch of the game on PC.

For those, like us, who have already poured countless hours into the game, cross save functionality will allow you to moves saves to Nintendo’s console from PC.

The other game that has us excited is good old Untitled Goose Game. It’s appearing here not as a new game, but for an upcoming piece of free DLC that allows two players to cause havoc at the same time.
