Free DLC for Cyberpunk 2077, just like Witcher 3

CD Projekt Red’s upcoming game Cyberpunk 2077 will have something in common with the developer’s previous title The Witcher 3: free DLC.

On Twitter a user asked the official Cyberpunk 2077 account if free DLC was planned, and it responded.

Now the response isn’t a simple “yes”, but we think Kool-Aid Man shouting “oh yeah” is sufficient. For those wondering that gif is from an episode of Family Guy.

So what free DLC did The Witcher 3 get in its lifetime? If you head on over to the Witcher 3 Steam page there are 22 pieces of DLC available for the game, 16 of which are free.

This free content contains a mix of cosmetic items, playable quests, animations, Gwent cards and, maybe most importantly, New Game+. This was added to the game several months after launch which is a fair amount of time for day one players to completely 100% everything available in the base game.

If CD Projekt Red will follow up with similar editions for Cyberpunk 2077 remains to be seen, but new information about the game has been sparse since this month’s edition of the Night City Wire streams. We may find out more in September’s video.

Cyberpunk 2077 launches on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 19th November 2020.
