MSI is now making notebooks for business people

On Thursday MSI held a virtual event to showcase some new notebooks.

Now usually we’d expect to see notebooks with a focus on gaming from MSI, but not this time. Instead we were shown three new notebooks that are designed with working professionals in mind.

The notebooks in question are from MSI’s Summit, Prestige and Modern series.

Given the timing of MSI’s event you’d be right to think that these notebooks are all running Intel’s 11th Generation Core CPUs.

So what can you expect to find here?

The Prestige series is among the first to sport Intel Evo certification. As detailed by Intel earlier this week Evo is your way of knowing at a glance what sort of features you can expect as a minimum.

Finally the Modern series looks like the “budget” friendly notebook. We say that because you still get NVMe storage, DDR 3200MHz memory and a few other quality of life improvements including a choice of an Nvidia GeForce MX450 GPU or Intel Xe.

Unfortunately we don’t have word on local pricing or availability of these notebooks.

What will be interesting to see is if MSI is able to wrest some of the business market from the likes of HP, Dell and Acer. As we mentioned, the brand has traditionally played in the gaming, enthusiast and workstation markets which generally bigger spenders.

We’re very curious to see how these notebooks will be priced as they might prove tempting to businesses if the prices happen to be attractive enough.

You can browse specs for all of the notebooks announced by MSI, below.
