2018’s party game Among Us has been experiencing a massive growth spurt in the last month or so, and highlighting that is Steam itself.
In a rare move from the platform it recently tweeted out a chart showing the explosion in numbers in terms of daily active users.
As of a few hours ago Among Us was just a bit under three million daily active users.

Steam Database (sometimes just “SteamDB”), an unofficial source that tracks movements of games on the platform, also chimed in with some large figures about the game.
In terms of percentage gains in player numbers Among Us has been seeing triple digits again since June. In August the game had an incredible gain of 987.3 percent.

On Steam the game currently has a whopping 138 409 reviews, 95 percent of them being positive.
Developer Innersloth recently addressed this success in a blog post outlining improvements to the game, as well as the news that work was being stopped on a sequel to make this game as good as it can be while so many people are enjoying it.
Moving outside of Steam and Among Us is also popular on mobile where it’s a free download on iOS and Android that is supported by adverts. This game has been popular in the charts of all three platforms it is available on. We’ll have to wait and see if it and the likes of Fall Guys can continue this meteoric success.
