Businesses can now finance solar power solutions from Ellies and the Rental Company

Living in South Africa means preparing yourself for the inevitable announcement that loadshedding has returned.

While many folks have turned to alternative energy solutions, the trouble is that alternative energy solutions such as solar power carry a huge startup cost. While you will ultimately “make that money back” by not having to pay Eskom, we don’t all have the funds needed to go off-the-grid.

For businesses looking to go off-the-grid however, Ellies and The Rental Company have partnered up to create a finance solution for solar power solutions.

“Our partnership with Ellies will allow businesses of any size to invest in solar power without the requirement of large cash payments upfront,” director of The Rental Company, Corné du Plessis, wrote in a press release.

“Instead, cash can be directed to revenue-generating activities while allowing businesses to invest in solar with payment terms of three to five years. With more than 20 years experience in specialised asset finance services and access to a large network of funders, the Rental Company is best placed to help Ellies customers fund solar solutions,” du Plessis added.

Through this offering businesses can get access to photovoltaic solar solutions as well as cloud-based monitoring.

“An increasing number of businesses are looking for alternative energy solutions in the midst of increasing electricity tariffs and the unpredictability of the national power grid. Our renewable energy solutions will effectively manage your company’s bottom-line. We have a global supplier network with best in class products available to customers,” said chief executive officer at Ellies Electronics, Shaun Prithivirajh.

You can find out more about the offering over on the Ellies website or alternatively send an email to eae[at]ellies[dot]co[dot]za.
