Star Wars: Squadrons gets free Mandalorian loot

The Mandalorian season two finally releases this Friday, 30th October (if you happen to live in a country that gets Disney+). To mark the occasion recent Star Wars game, Squadrons, will get some cosmetic loot added to the title for free.

You can see most of this cosmetic loot in this nice little graphic below. Of course Baby Yoda / The Child is included as is a representation of Din Djarin’s ship the Razor Crest.

While this does give us hope that more Star Wars content will be added to Squadrons in the future there’s no big projects on the horizon outside of The Mandalorian. We wouldn’t be surprised if Disney twisted the arm of developer Motive Studios and / or publisher EA to just include this, as Squadrons had no plans for DLC in the past.

While we’re not sure if this supply drop is the kind of DLC the developer stated it wouldn’t add, it’s still nice to have, though we’d kill for a General Grievous bobblehead.

This new content will be added to the game on 28th October, so there will be enough time to download and unlock it before season two.

Like other cosmetic items in Squadrons these cannot be bought with real money. Instead you will need to earn in-game resources to unlock them.

For those who haven’t played Squadrons or checked out gameplay from the title it’s a first person only starfighter game where you’re firmly inside of Star Wars ships for the entirety of the game.

Loot, like the new Mandalorian content, is represented physically in your ship’s cockpit so you can admire it while you fly around. You can see some promotional screenshots released so far below.

If all of this has you interested in the game, you can check out our review to learn more.
