Get ready for a borderless experience with the Huawei MateBook X Pro

2020 is the year that Huawei has re-introduced its range of powerful and feature-filled notebooks to South African consumers. It started with the MateBook D series earlier in the year, and now the flagship notebook models are readying for a local launch in the form of the Huawei MateBook X Pro.

A class-leading Windows 10 notebook, the MateBook X Pro is designed with creatives in mind who want an uncompromising mix of performance and portability, as well intuitive device collaboration and richly detailed displays.

If that ticks all the boxes that you’re looking for in a new notebook, keep an eye out for what Huawei will be launching later this month.

With official pricing on the way, we can highlight some of the key features and specifications that the Huawei MateBook X Pro will be boasting.

Cutting edge

Here, the 13.9″ display is a clear standout, offering users a near borderless experience thanks to minimal bezels and an impressive 91 percent screen-to-body ratio. Added to this is a 3K resolution of 3000×2000, along with a 3:2 aspect ratio perfect for reading and writing.

There’s also a 100 percent sRGB colour gamut on offer which serves up a wider array of colours than most other notebook displays. This is particularly useful if you’re doing graphic design work on the MateBook X Pro, or simply wanting to enjoy videos where the colours bloom to life.

Huawei has not stopped there, however, when it comes to the screen of the MateBook X Pro as it is also touch sensitive.

Again those doing any kind of design work will welcome the addition, but Huawei has added finger-based gestures to capture a screenshot, as well as transferring information or content seamless from your Huawei smartphone to your desktop with ease.

The other key feature on the MateBook X Pro is its premium design. No effort has been spared to make this device as thin and light as possible, with an aluminium-alloy being used for this unibody chassis.

This yields a notebook that is equal parts premium, lightweight and solid.

It means that the MateBook X Pro only measures 14.6mm thick when closed, along with it tipping the scales at 1.33kg. The result is a notebook that fits effortlessly into any work bag, and when you’re on the move, is not a burden to carry around.

Launching later this month on 16th November, keep up to date on all things MateBook X Pro at Huawei’s South African online store, here.
