Award-winning Huawei MateBook X Pro up for pre-order from 23rd November

Later this month, Huawei will make its flagship MateBook X Pro notebook available for pre-order in South Africa on 23rd November.

Huawei has a long tradition of manufacturing well specced and feature-rich Windows 10 notebooks, and the new MateBook X pro is the company’s most powerful and premium offering to date, garnering multiple awards and recommendations since debuting earlier this year.

Its arrival also caps off a year in which Huawei doubled down on its commitment to bringing more Windows 10 notebooks to South Africa, starting with the MateBook D lineup earlier in the year.

While those devices offered great value for money at their price point, the X Pro is a top of the line Windows-10 powered experience that does not skimp on any specifications, components or features.

This uncompromising experience begins with the 13.9″ display touted by the X Pro, which features the same FullView technology that Huawei has become renowned for. Added to this is a near borderless design that serves up an impressive 91 percent screen-to-body ratio, along with a rich 3K (3000×2000) resolution.

Touch and gesture-enabled too, the mix of technologies on this display mean the X Pro delivers a generous amount of screen real estate, while also providing an immersive viewing experience for its user.

To match the display a suitably stylish aluminium alloy unibody is present for the chassis of the MateBook X Pro. This choice of material ensures that thinness and lightness are guaranteed, along with a solid construction that feels both hard wearing and premium.

To that end the MateBook X Pro weighs only 1.33kg, as well as measuring 14.6mm thin, making it perfect for travel, once it is safe to do so of course.

Not just a looker, Huawei has been careful to choose only the best internal specifications for the X Pro, with Intel assisting as far as the processor is concerned. Here a choice of i5 or i7 10th Gen Intel CPUs will be made available locally, which is paired with either Nvidia GeForce MX250 or Intel UHD Graphics. The options don’t stop there either as 8GB or 16GB LPDDR3 RAM is added to the mix, along with a 512GB or 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD for storage.

This smorgasbord of options means local consumers can spec out the MateBook X Pro as desired.

As well with Huawei devices, this latest premium notebook is not shy of features. On this front, Huawei Share distinguishes itself as an innovative and intuitive tool for collaboration between notebook and smartphone, sans cables or wires. It therefore means that a MateBook X Pro owner can work unencumbered while on the move.

That’s not all, with the long list of additional features on the X Pro never failing to impress. Recessed webcam? it’s got that. Fingerprint sensor that doubles as a power button? Yep. All-day battery life? The 56Wh unit onboard takes care of that with up to 13 hours battery life.

With our choice in hardware being even more important than ever these days, whether we’re working remotely or on the road, the Huawei MateBook X Pro is expertly appointed to make sure every eventuality is catered for.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro (in Space Grey or Mystic Silver) is up for pre-order via Incredible Connection, Computer Mania and the South African Huawei Online Store, for a recommended price of R34 999.

Each of these retailers will also be bundling their pre-order offers with Huawei accessories to complete your ecosystem of devices.

To find out how to pre-order or purchase the MateBook X Pro for yourself, head to the new Huawei Online Store, here.
