IO Interactive’s James Bond game: no name yet and it’s hiring

When we think of videogame announcements nowadays we usually expect movie-level cinematics, an exciting reveal trailer and if we’re lucky a smidgen of gameplay. Developer IO Interactive has provided none of that in its reveal of a new James Bond game.

Hell, we don’t even know the real name of the game yet.

Announced by the developer as well as the official James Bond accounts, IO Interactive is developing as well as publishing a James Bond game which has the working title of “Project 007”.

Aside from this name and the short tweet embedded at the bottom of this page, we do have an official description for Project 007:

“Featuring a wholly original Bond story, players will step into the shoes of the world’s favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story. I0 Interactive is currently recruiting elite talent from around the world to join the team that will build out this exciting and unique gaming title.”

That description comes from the official website for Project 007 which you can find here.

Those interested in working on this game can find the open positions here. There are 16 open positions to work on Project 007 including an AI programmer, lead game designer, gameplay director and more.

For those us more interested in playing rather than making the game, you can also leave your email address to have updates on Project 007 delivered to you when they’re available.

Aside from that all we can do now is wait. If we had to guess this game may take after IO Interactive’s series of Hitman titles. Many have, in the past, stated that Hitman had a 007 quality to it as you infiltrate heavily guarded facilities in a suit and tie.
