The WiFi 6 equipped Huawei AX3 is perfect for the connected family

By the end of 2014 the number of internet-connected devices clocked in at 12 billion, amounting to roughly 1.7 devices per person on the planet.

By 2023, Cisco AIR foresees a rapid increase to 3.6 devices.

While networks have the worry of balancing those connections, you might be looking at the off-white router your ISP included with your installation and wondering whether it has the power to balance the load of 12 devices, all vying for a piece of the internet connection.

The bad news is that unless your router is equipped with WiFi 6 functionality, you might start to see your connectivity degrade. That degradation could be happening right now as many routers only support much older WiFi standards.

A router that doesn’t have this problem is the Huawei AX3 which supports WiFi 6, but what exactly does this WiFi standard offer you?

For one it’s fast. WiFi 6 is not a minor upgrade, it offers a notable speed increase. Compared to WiFi 5, the latest standard is three times faster. In terms of capacity, there is oodles of space with WiFi 6 bringing the capacity up to 4X compared to WiFi 5.

But what does this mean for your home?

Consider your WiFi as a fleet of trucks delivering internet to your device.

With WiFi 5, every time you request a website such as Hypertext, the entire fleet departs whether the trucks are empty or not. Should these trucks encounter a problem, they must all wait until the problem is solved.

WiFi 6 makes things more efficient in that trucks can form mini-fleets to deliver the connectivity to devices. This allows the router to balance the connectivity so that more devices can enjoy the connectivity.

To put it as simply as possible, Huawei WiFi 6 routers support a maximum of four concurrent devices on the 2.4GHz band and 16 on the 5GHz band, a 4x increase compared to WiFi 5.

The Huawei AX3 also uses some clever engineering to punch through walls. Figuratively speaking of course.

When paired with a Huawei WiFi 6-enabled smartphone, the signal strength between the router and the device can go up to 6dB. This is made possible through the use of the Gigahome chipset which is present in both the quad- and dual-core Huawei AX3 routers.
This technology solves the problems of slow Internet access and network access failures caused by long-distance mobile phone signal backhaul, greatly improving the signal quality.

The Huawei AX3 quad-core is a powerhouse of a router and with its WiFi 6 support, you can download an HD movie in just 10 seconds.

The Huawei AX3 dual- and quad-core iterations are currently available for pre-order with availability from 4th December through Incredible Connection and the Huawei Store.

Considering so many of us will be home this festive season, don’t let an inferior router get in the way of your binge watching, visit this link and upgrade your internet today.
