This month the big game that everyone is talking about is Resident Evil Village. It is the latest instalment in the survival horror franchise, with the game being hyped up more than usual thanks to one of the big bads in the form of Lady Alcina Dimitrescu, aka everyone’s favourite tall vampire mommy.

If you have not played the game yet, and we can’t really blame you given the price of titles at the moment, you may be interested in an Escape Room competition that local distributor Gamefinity is running. The prize in question, and pictured in the header image above, is the PS4 Collector’s Edition of the game.

“In case there is anyone out there who has yet to experience this first-class experience in interactive horror storytelling, GameFinity and Capcom have put together and a themed online escape room to enjoy – accented with clues, hints and themes which tie back to Resident Evil Village,” the distributor notes about the Escape Room competition.

“So, roll up those sleeves, find the right clues and load that shotgun, because one escape room contestant will win a Resident Evil Village Collector’s Edition to the value of R3999. In order to stand a chance of winning, entrants are simply to make it through to the end of the online escape room,” it adds.

Along with a physical game disc and steelbook, the Collector’s Edition includes a:

  • Deluxe Edition Trauma Pack
  • Chris Figure
  • Artbook
  • Box

You can enter the Escape Room here, with entries closing on 7th June 2021. Gamefinity has also laid out the T’s & C’s here.

Hypertext is also running its own Resident Evil Village competition this month, which includes a hamper of merchandise and a digital copy of the game on whichever platform you want. You can find out how to enter here.
