Hunter’s Arena: Legends available via PlayStation Plus next week

As we reach the end of July, it is that time again we when look forward to see what August will hold as far as free titles via PlayStation Plus are concerned.

Come next week Tuesday, 3rd August, PlayStation will make three titles (as is usually the case) available to its Plus members – Hunter’s Arena: Legends, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville and Tennis World Tour 2.

The latter two titles are the PS4 versions, while Hunter’s Arena will offer both PS5 and PS4 depending on which console you own. As for the July titles, you have until next week Monday before they leave Plus.

“July’s games lineup is making way for August’s new arrivals, so you’ve until Monday, August 2 to add Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, WWE 2K Battlegrounds, A Plague Tale: Innocence and Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown to your game library,” confirms a PlayStation Blog post.

Looking at the trio of games that will be available in August, we have only reviewed one – Tennis World Tour 2. It was a middling game that lacked some of the nuance we were hoping for, but for tennis fans wanting to get their fix after watching the Olympics, it may hit the spot for a few hours.

As for the other two titles, it is Hunter’s Arena that piques our interest the most, namely as it was recently showcased in a State of Play showcase earlier in the month.

“The 30 player PvP & PvE combat-based battle royale is set in an ancient age in which humanity battles each other as well as a growing legion of demons that have been unleashed upon the world. In this vicious frontier, you’ll face threats on two fronts. Head into high-risk, high-reward dungeons to encounter demonic foes,” the Blog explains.

Where July featured some heavy hitters, it looks like August will be a slightly less enticing month for PlayStation Plus.
