It seems like every other day brings with it a new crossover with the latest being Team Fortress 2’s (TF2) own Pyro now available as a henchman in the strategy game Evil Genius 2: World Domination.

Unlike many other crossovers where the DLC is a paid cosmetic, this one is entirely free and available right now on Steam.

This free addition doesn’t just add the Pyro but also a side story to recruit him and three loot items.

“Recruit the Pyro as a Henchman and increase your firepower… literally! Pyro can indiscriminately engulf their surroundings in an inferno, fan the flames on those tiresome Agents in the aftermath, and even extinguish less friendly fires with a puff of compressed air…if they must. What self-respecting Evil Genius can resist harnessing such destructive power?” reads the description on the store page.

While the Pyro DLC is free the base game of Evil Genius 2 is not. Until 16th July it is 25 percent off on Steam for those who want to get in for less money. The deluxe edition, which includes the Rise of the Valkyrie Pack, is also 20 percent off right now.

Evil Genius 2: World Domination has a Mixed review standing on Steam. Of the 6 616 reviews it has accrued since releasing earlier this year, only 62 percent of them are positive.

This new DLC also brings with it other updates to the game. The full patch notes are available here but it seems that developer and publisher Rebellion is taking on community feedback to improve the game. Hopefully these changes, as well as more free DLC and crossovers, will improve the game and brings its review ratings out of the Mixed standing.
