On Monday we reported that Tales of Arise was selling extremely well by snatching up three out of the top ten best selling games on Steam. Now developer and publisher Bandai Namco has revealed more details about the huge success of the game.

Launched on 10th September, Tales of Arise has already sold more than one million copies. This amount of sales in less than a week, Bandai Namco states, makes this game the fastest selling of the series.

On top of this boon for the series, the entire Tales of franchise crosses the 25 million units sold mark. This was announced in an update to the sales figures in which Bandai Namco thanked players for their “passion and loyalty” to the series.

“We are very proud and humbled to see fans and newcomers reception playing Tales of Arise. Our goal with this title was to open the franchise to as many players as possible while maintaining the Tales of DNA and uniqueness that has allowed the franchise to stay strong for more than 25 years. We would like to thank players for their support,” says Tales of Arise producer Yusuke Tomizawa.

Going back to Steam to look at reviews and the game currently has 4 954 reviews with an impressive 91 percent of them being positive. This leaves Tales of Arise with a “Very Positive” Steam rating overall.

On all the platforms Metacritic reports critic reviews in the 80s and user reviews in the 90s. No matter where you look it seems most people have good things to say about this latest JRPG adventure.
