Today Huawei Mobile South Africa is making its latest wearable available for pre-order in South Africa, with a discount on offer for those who put a small deposit down on either the Huawei Watch 3 or Watch 3 Pro.
Both devices were teased last week ahead of today’s pre-order availability, which is slated to last until 6th October.
Over the past four years, Huawei has been enhancing its reputation in the smartwatch space, with devices that are not only feature rich, but deliver at least two weeks of battery life, outperforming competitors by quite some distance.
The Watch 3 series continues this tradition, while adding more premium design elements and crucially introducing an embedded SIM (eSIM) to the lineup.
As such, the Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro are the first Huawei smartwatches to deliver a truly connected experience without needing to be tethered to a smartphone.
Added to the eSIM functionality, is a bevy of fitness focused features, such as the ability to record information for more than 100 workout modes alongside the daily metrics and real-time heart rate monitoring.
The fact that these devices boast a Smart Mode, which facilitates the downloading and functioning of apps straight on your wrist, means that the Huawei Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro are now one of a handful of truly smart wearables on the market today.

In terms of the pre-order offer, as Huawei likes to do, the company is sweetening the deal by bundling in accessories for free, as well as knocking off a bit from the retail price should you show interest and secure one before 6th October.
To that end, a R99 deposit via the local Huawei online store will yield a discount of R999 on either device. With the Watch 3 starting from R7 299 and the Watch 3 Pro retailing from R7 999, cost savvy consumers will certainly want to take advantage of the pre-order offer.
As for what’s included, an additional watch strap and a pair of Huawei Bluetooth Freelace earphones will be bundled with pre-orders while stock lasts, meaning accessories are taken care of.
