You can now use Standard Bank’s EasyScan to pay at Pick n Pay

Contactless payments have become incredibly popular over the last year and now Standard Bank is giving its customers to pay at Pick n Pay using EasyScan.

EasyScan is Standard Bank’s QR code payment solution whereby you simply scan a code to make a payment. Customers will need to have installed the Standard Bank Mobile Banking app in order to use EasyScan. Once installed it’s simply a matter of opening the app, tapping “Scan QR” and making the payment.

“Anyone with a Standard Bank account can pay using EasyScan. Download the Standard Bank Mobile Banking App to use this easy, non-card and secure payment method. Standard Bank’s Mobile Banking App is also zero data rated, which means customers can pay for their shopping even when they don’t have data,” explains head of consumer and high net worth clients at Standard Bank, Kabelo Makeke.

Standard Bank says that all purchases made using EasyScan reflect on a statement immediately so that it’s easier for customers to keep track of their funds.

In addition, Standard Banking is opening in-store branches at select Pick n Pay branches. Customers will be able to open accounts, make payments and can receive assistance from staff to reverse unauthorised debit orders.

“Our customers love convenience and the EasyScan innovation is another way we are enhancing their shopping experience. There is no need for them to keep their cash and cards on them, and they make no contact during the transaction,” says John Bradshaw, Head of Omnichannel at Pick n Pay.
