Master Chief comes to Joburg for a BT Games contest

We’re firmly on the hype train to the Halo Infinite launch later this month and to keep the train going Master Chief is visiting Joburg again this week.

Well it’s someone dressed like Master Chief anyway. Local distributor Prima Interactive  and videogame retailer BT Games have teamed up for a contest to give away a prize worth R4 599.

That prize is the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Halo Infinite Limited Edition. It’s just about as top as the line as you can get when it comes to controller as we’re sure most can tell by that price.

This contest is called the “Master Chief #BecomeTheHero Tour” and, as you may have guessed by the name, it revolves around the character visiting BT Games stores.

This week is the last week to enter with Master Chief making two more stops.

To enter follow these instructions:

  • Visit BT Games at one of the selected time slots this week
    • BT Games Mall of Africa | 8th December | 11:00 – 13:00
    • BT Games Sandton | 11th December | 08:30 – 10:30
  • Take a selfie with Master Chief
  • Post the selfie to social media with the hashtag #BecomeTheHeroZA and tag both Prima Interactive and BT Games on the appropriate platform you’re using

It’s a shame that only those in Gauteng can easily access the stores especially with travelling discouraged right now, but it’s still a really enticing prize here and we’ll freely admit that we’ll be jealous of the winner.

With entries already visible through the associated hashtag there are people gunning for the prize, but there is still time to enter.

Finally here’s the good old terms and conditions that entrants will need to take note of:

  • Competition closes on 11 December 2021 at 00:00
  • No persons under the age of 18 will be allowed to enter unless given permission by a parent or guardian
  • Competition is limited to residents of South Africa only
  • The winner will be drawn randomly
  • Winner will be announced on 15 December 2021 via the Prima Interactive social channels
  • The decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into

The early access standalone multiplayer of Halo Infinite is out right now and is free to play. The paid singleplayer campaign will be out on 8th December. Both arms of the game are for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The paid campaign will also be available through Xbox Game Pass on console and PC.
