3 million+ Steam users have Dying Light 2 on their wishlist

The hype train for Dying Light 2 is finally about to pull into the station with the upcoming release of the game, but the several year wait for the zombie sequel has lead to many people adding it to their Steam wishlists, three million of them in fact.

This has been revealed by the official Dying Light Twitter account along with some levity:

“Challenge: First person to jump 3 million times in DL2 in one gaming session will receive a digital hug and frog meme made by me,” the account writes.

We’re not sure how serious that jumping challenge is, but this milestone is rather impressive when compared to other games on the market.

Valve has an official list for the games that have been added to wishlists the most times. Unfortunately the actual number of wishlist additions is not present here, but we can look at the top ten right now to get an idea of what Steam users are looking forward to:

  1. ELDEN RING
  2. Dying Light 2 Stay Human
  3. Party Animals
  4. Hollow Knight: Silksong
  5. The Day Before
  6. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
  7. Total War: WARHAMMER III
  8. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl
  9. Starfield
  10. Frostpunk 2.

Beating out Dying Light is Elden Ring which is no surprise given the fervour of FromSoftware fans. The fact that both of these games release in February – Elden Ring on the 25th and Dying Light 2 on the 4th – may mean that some people only have room in the budget for one or the other.

Interestingly the list provided by Valve only includes unreleased titles. Steam users can, of course, add already-released games to their wishlists and this is something we highly recommend as Valve will email you when wishlisted games go on sale.

Having games in your wishlist is also a great way to quickly see what has the best discounts during a Steam sale.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human releases on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
